I started working for IKO Polymeric at the tender age of 19 years old back in 2011, fast forward to 6 years later and I still love IKO’s work ethic and company values.
My first role within the company was as a Production Administrator. From my first interview with IKO Polymeric, I knew this was the company for me. They made me feel like I wouldn’t just be a number, but a valued team member.
As the company grew and Single Ply sales was moved to our Clay Cross branch, my role was adapted in to both Production Admin & Customer Service. This eventually led to a full time Customer Service role as the orders grew from month to month and the department became busier than ever.
One of the things I really love about the company is that they always encourage their team members to take up any training opportunities and apply for any internal job roles which they think they may be suitable for. Recently my job role has slightly changed, switching 2 of my Customer Service days a week to work in the Marketing department alongside our Marketing Manager, Buket.
As I have been introduced in to Marketing over the last year, I have been given an opportunity to gain an NVQ Level 3 in Social Media & Digital Marketing.
IKO Polymeric isn’t just a company or a place you go to do your job and go home, it is an ever expanding family that are always willing to drop what they are doing to help their colleagues, and support each other. I joined the company when there was just a team of 4 in their offices and a small factory/warehouse team at Clay Cross, and I have really enjoyed watching the company expand more and more each and every year.
IKO Polymeric has always strived to keep the family values and friendly work environment, no matter how many new members join the team. We are all very passionate about our jobs that we always push to go that extra mile. Whether this is for a colleague, customer or supplier, we always try our very best.
I have seen many changes within the company over the years and I look forward to many more happy years working for IKO Polymeric and the Koschitzky family!
